First time in this venue for the Anvil / Saxon gig.
Like a scaled down Glasgow Academy. Unlike the Academy there's a large balcony area that is open to everyone.
Only complaint was that it might have been just a bit too small for the Anvil / Saxon crowd and it was a bit cramped throughout the whole of the downstairs area.
Outside the venue, something to bear in mind is that there's no car parking unless you use the outrageously priced NCP car park - £7.80 for up to 4 hours and £12.20 for over 4 hours.
Certainly one area where this venue scores points over ANY of the Glasgow venues was that you could buy draught beer. As everyone knows, Glasgow venues seem to only sell girly/neddy lager now. Remember the days when people could ask for a pint of "heavy"?
Good wee venue and if you can make suitable arrangements for parking is well worth a visit.
