I don't think i'm very good at reviewing so i'm not going to try too hard here but Girlsplayboys played a blinder on saturday night. They played a fast-paced and incredibly enjoyable set, I didn't know all of the songs but that wasn't necessary to have a good time, though hearing songs you recognised added to the fun. The band was incredibly tight, in one of the songs the stops performed were just epically so. Here's some shots:

Jim's slouch to reach that microphone made my slouch look positively straight backed.

They were supported by Inner Logic:

And this was the main view of the night for this band as the singer was rarely on the stage. They put on a tight performance, with some heavy beats. The band were good at what they do. As a performance it was a competent product.

The first band on were Medusa's Curse:

Who I preferred to Inner Logic, despite being less technically proficient.

In terms of sound quality, there was a bit of a 'wall of sound' effect in that it was such a small place and it was very loud, but generally you could hear the individual parts going on. Inner logic suffered from the loudness the most, the vocalist wasn't that audible against the background noise.

A good night out though :D
