Cathouse gigs are just like all the CPL owned gigs - the punters are crammed in and sold overpriced drinks in plastic "glasses" and within two seconds of the gig finishing the punters are then aggresively hurried back out the door so that CPL can then open back up as some sort of club and rip more people off.

It's the exact same story at the Garage!

Cathouse gets an unfair rap from some people, If you take it on the merits of a music venue alone, its a good gig to play and I have seen some great gigs there.

Unfortnately nearly every live music venue in the Uk that has a club on afterwards wll move you out sharpish, this is not exclusive to CPL.

It is a pisser when they are throwing youre gear out on the street though

The venue is great but as the posts have said you get chucked out to try and get you to pay to stay in but not all the time.
Love the place though as its great to speak to people there and the bands are great there,

I've always been too drunk to remember gigs at the Cathouse. I'm mainly there when my friend's band Alestorm plays it and end up wasted backstage before any bands. What I do remember has been awesome though.
