I got free tickets for the Glasgow screening of the film courtesy of Planet Rock!

Great entertainment even if it's not your type of music. You just can't help feeling for vocalist, Lips - quite moving.

Hopefully, the movie'll get them a bit of support and get them out on a proper tour!

Just saw the movie - fantastic! A bit too Spinal Tap at times but really moving too. These guys just live for their music and it's such a shame that the music business swallowed them up and spat them out. Shades of "The Wrestler" in there too...a Must See movie for anyone interested in what happens in rock music to the guys who try so hard to entertain everyone. I hope that this gets them at least some way towards their dream - they deserve it for believing in themselves for so long if nothing else.

I remember Anvil. Quite liked them as well. I remember having a long drunken chat in The Venue with the singer one night. Nice bloke, from what I remember :?

I don't think that there's any doubt that the movie has rekindled the interest in Anvil!

Certainly a very large portion of the crowd at last Friday's Edinburgh gig were there specifically to see Anvil rather than the headliners Saxon.

Most folk who were at the gig will agree that there was no way Saxon could follow Anvil after their performance. A great set of Anvil classics including their anthem Metal On Metal.

Great to see that they've continued as a 3-piece after Ivan left to marry the bint from the movie.
